Bright & Cozy: Easy Knitted Multi-Coloured Cowl Scarf Pattern

Materials:

  • Size 4 mm knitting needles
  • Approx. 50 g using oddments of different colours of double knit (DK) yarn

Instructions:

  1. Cast on 40 stitches.
  2. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) for 6 rows in each colour. Change colour randomly at the start of each row and weave ends to the back as you go.
  3. Continue alternating colours and working 6 garter rows per colour until the piece measures approximately 50 cm in length.
  4. Cast off loosely.
  5. Sew the back seam to join the ends and form the cowl. Tuck in any remaining ends.

Tips: This pattern is easy to adjust—cast on more or fewer stitches for a wider or narrower cowl, or knit to a different length to suit personal preference. Using oddments makes this an economical and cheerful project.
