The Knitted Mosaic Diamonds Stitch creates a striking geometric texture: rows of large moss-stitch diamonds set against chains of small stockinette diamonds. This medium-difficulty 28-row repeat is ideal for scarves, sweaters, throws and pillows — a great way to add visual interest and texture to your projects.

Materials:

  • Yarn
  • Knitting needle

Notes: You need a stitch count that is a multiple of 12 + 1, plus 2 edge (selvedge) stitches. Repeat the pattern between the * as many times as you like.

Abbreviations: k = knit, p = purl, st = stitch, edge st = selvedge stitch

Rows of large moss-stitch diamonds and chains of small stockinette diamonds form this mosaic knitting stitch. Lovely on a sweater, scarf, throw, pillow, etc.
