- 1.25 skeins Lion Brand Homespun in the colorway of your choice (note: if you only have 1 skein, it will shorten your shawl about 8 inches or so)
- US 15 (10.0 mm) straight needles
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors

- 17” wide
- 48” long
Abbreviations:
- CO: Cast On
- BO: Bind Off
- rpt: Repeat
- sts: Stitches
- yo: Yarnover
- K2tog: Knit two stitches together
Instructions:
CO 36 sts
Rows 1-4: Knit all sts.
Row 5: K2, *yo, k2tog; rpt from * to last 2 sts; K2
Repeat rows 1-5 until about 46” from beginning.
Knit 4 more rows

Notes & Tips:
- Want a longer shawl? Continue repeating Rows 1–5 until you reach your preferred length; adding roughly another 8 rows will add a couple of inches depending on tension.
- Yarn substitution: any bulky or novelty bulky yarn with similar gauge to Lion Brand Homespun will give a comparable drape and texture.
- Blocking will open the lace pattern slightly and even out stitches; because Homespun is a textured/novelty yarn, blocking results can be subtle.
- To make a triangular shawl instead of a rectangular one, consider increasing at the center and edges instead of casting on a fixed width (this will require a different shaping approach).
