Pattern (for an 8-inch doll)

Note: Work flat and sew the back seam to finish.

1. Cast on 60 stitches.
2. Knit 4 rows.
3. Start with a purl row, then continue in stocking stitch (stockinette) until the work measures 6 cm from the cast-on edge.
4. Next row: knit 2 together (k2tog) to the end of the row. (30 stitches remain)
5. Next row: purl.
6. Next row: k2, k2tog; repeat to the end of the row. (23 stitches remain)
