DIY Cozy Knitted Drink Can Cover — Simple Garter-Stitch Pattern with Corner Weights
Keep your canned drinks cozy and stylish with this quick, beginner-friendly knitted can cover. Worked entirely in garter stitch, this small rectangular piece is seamed or wrapped around a can and finished with beads or buttons at the corners to act as weights and decorative details.

Materials:
- Oddments of DK yarn
- 4 mm needles
- 4 beads or buttons to be used as corner weights
Worked in garter stitch throughout.
Begin at the bottom: cast on 2 stitches.
Row 1: knit into front and back of stitch, knit to last stitch, k1.
Row 2: k1, knit into front and back of stitch, knit to end.
Next and every row: knit 2, knit into front and back of next stitch, knit to end.
Repeat until there are 36 stitches on the needle.
Next row: knit 2, s1, knit 1, p.s.s.o., knit to end. (p.s.s.o. = pass slipped stitch over)
Repeat the last row until 4 stitches remain.
Next row: knit 2tog twice.
Next row: knit 2tog.
Fasten off.
Finishing: attach beads or buttons to the four corners as weights and decoration, then weave in all loose ends. If desired, seam the short edges together or overlap and stitch so the cover fits snugly around a can.
