Materials:
- 1 skein Lion Brand Hometown USA ("Seattle Sea Mist" colorway shown)
- US 15 (10 mm) straight needles
- Tapestry needle

Notes: This headband is wide (7 inches). If you want a narrower headband, cast on any even number of stitches. The pattern is worked in a simple two-row repeat; length is determined by seaming to the desired circumference.
Abbreviations: CO = cast on; BO = bind off; RS = right side; WS = wrong side; yo = yarn over; k2tog = knit two together.

Repeat rows 1 and 2 until headband is 16 inches long or desired length.

Break yarn, fasten off, and use one of the yarn tails to seam the headband together with a tapestry needle. A whip stitch creates a neat, nearly invisible seam.
To "cinch" the headband: take a piece of matching yarn approximately 18–24 inches long. Turn the headband inside out and weave the yarn across the seam area, pull the ends together tightly and tie a secure knot. Weave in ends to finish.
Finishing tips: Try the headband on before finishing the knot to confirm fit. If you prefer a slightly looser lace, you can gently stretch or block the headband before seaming. Weave in ends neatly on the wrong side for the cleanest look.
