Breezy Knitted Summer Stitch — Lightweight Lace Pattern for Warm-Weather Knits
The knitted summer stitch is a lightweight, airy lace pattern that adds handmade charm to warm-weather garments and accessories. Knit summer stitch instructions:
Cast on a multiple of 8 sts plus 2 extra sts and plus 2 selvage stitches. In my example 28 stitches.
Row1 (WS): sel s, *k2, p2, k1, yo, k1, p2– repeat from *, k2, sel s.
Row 2 (RS): sel s, p2, *k2, p3, k2, p2– repeat *, sel s. Purl yo stitch through the front loop!!!
Row 3 (WS): sel s, *k2, p2, k3, p2 – repeat from *, k2, sel s.
Row 4 (RS): sel s, p2, *k2, p3, k2, p2– repeat from *, sel s.
Row 5 (WS): repeat Row 3.
Row 6(RS): repeat Row4
Row 7 (WS): repeat Row 3.
Row 8: sel s, p2, *k2, p1, drop the next stitch off needle, p1, k2, p2 – repeat from *, sel s. Unravel dropped stitches all the way till the 1st Row.
Row 9: sel s, *k1, yo, k1, p2, k2, p2 – repeat from *, k1, yo, k1, sel s.
Row 10: sel s, p3, * k2, p2, k2, p3 – repeat from *, sel s. Purl yo stitch through the front loop!!!
Row 11: sel s, *k3, p2, k2, p2 – repeat from *, k3, sel s.

Repeat Rows 1-16 to form pattern.
