Cast on 14 stitches.

Knit in garter stitch for 12 cm.

Next row: knit 6, yfd knit 2 together, knit to last 6 stitches, knit 6.

Knit 3 rows.

Cast off.

Fold one end over to make the pocket and sew the folded edge in place.

Add a button to the pocket flap and a corresponding loop or opening on the band so the pocket stays closed.

Attach the pocket securely to the wristband — sew along the pocket edges so keys stay in place but can still be slid in and out comfortably.

Finishing tips

  • Try the band and pocket together before final sewing to check button placement and fit.
  • Weave in loose ends and reinforce seams around the pocket for durability.
  • Lightly block the finished pieces if desired to even out the garter stitch.

This compact, practical accessory is ideal for quick outings, kids, or anyone who likes hands-free convenience. Adjust cast-on or knitting length to customize fit.
