How to Knit the Sparkle Necklace — Simple Garter-Stitch Necklace with Flower Embellishment

Materials

• Double knit yarn
• 4mm knitting needles

Necklace band

1. Cast on 4 stitches.
2. Work in garter stitch (knit every row) until the piece measures 56 cm.
3. Cast off and join the ends to form the necklace band.

Flower decoration

1. With contrast sparkle yarn, cast on 40 stitches.
2. Knit one row.
3. Next row: slip 1, *knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over (psso)* — repeat to the last stitch, knit 1.
4. Cut the yarn and thread it through the remaining stitches, pulling tight to form a gathered flower.
5. Secure with a couple of stitches and attach the flower over the join of the necklace.
6. Add a sparkle button or gem to the centre for extra shine.
