Materials

  • 10.0 mm (US 15) Knitting Needles
  • Bulky Yarn
  • Tapestry Needle
  • Scissors

Pattern

CO 48 STs.

Row 1: Knit till end (48)

Row 2: Purl till end (48)

Repeat Row 1 and 2 until your piece measures the circumference of your head. For the hat I made, I stopped after it measured 40 cm (16 inches) long and casted off.

Cast Off. Leave long tail to sew the sides and the tops of the hat together. I used the mattress stitch to sew the sides of the hat and just stitched the top of the hat until there were not holes anymore to complete the hat.

Once you finish sewing the hat together you can weave in the ends. I decided not to add a pom pom to this hat, but you can make some pom poms and attach it to the top of the hat to add a cute touch to the hat.
