Classic Elite Yarns Alpaca Sox [60% alpaca / 20% merino wool / 20% nylon; 450 yd/412 m per 100 g skein]; color: Sky; 2 skeins

Note: 1 skein will produce a scarf approx. 60 inches long.

Recommended needle size:

1 set US #3/3.25mm straight needles

GAUGE

21 sts/34 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch, unblocked

PATTERN NOTES

2yo (Double yarn over): Wrap yarn twice around right needle, bringing yarn between needles to front of work, then over right needle to back of work, each time. On the following (WS) row, work [p1, k1] into each 2yo.

Lace Ribbon Pattern (Worked over a multiple of 9 sts + 8):

Odd-Numbered Rows 1-9 [RS]: K2, [ssk, 2yo, k2tog, k2tog, k3, yo] to last 6 sts, ssk, 2yo, k2tog, k2.

Even-Numbered Rows 2-24 [WS]: K2, p2, k1, [p8, k1] to last 3 sts, p1, k2.

Row 11 [RS]: K2, [ssk, 2yo, k2tog, k5] to last 6 sts, ssk, 2yo, k2tog, k2.

Odd-Numbered Rows 13-21 [RS]: K2, [ssk, 2yo, k2tog, yo, k3, ssk] to last 6 sts, ssk, 2yo, k2tog, k2.

Row 23 [RS]: Work as for Row 11.

Repeat Rows 1-24 for Lace Ribbon Pattern.

DIRECTIONS

Loosely CO 53 sts.

Work in Lace Ribbon Pattern until work measures 80 inches or desired length, ending with Row 24 of pattern.

K 2 rows. Loosely BO all sts.

FINISHING

Weave in all ends.

Soak scarf in lukewarm water for at least 20 minutes.

Squeeze out water gently, then roll in clean towel.

Block by pinning damp scarf on a flat surface.

Allow to dry completely.
