Description

This one-skein project is worked in a unique stitch pattern. The stitches are offset, producing a diagonal rib-look. It’s worked in the round, with no seaming and can be finished in a weekend. The cowl is reversible, with a different look on each side.

Notes

Typically, you would place a marker and pay attention to the rounds. Since the diagonal nature of this design leads to the stitches being offset, paying attention to the exact position of the ending or beginning of the round isn’t necessary.

Just work around and around and around until you get to the height you desire.

If you want, you can eyeball it to get a general idea of the beginning or ending, but I just tried to get the end close enough to the beginning so that the woven end threads were near each other.

No one will be able to tell that you didn’t pay attention to where your round begins. It doesn’t show. The diagonal lines camouflage everything.

Reversible

The “back” side of this project is equally intriguing. Working it as a mobius would be really cool with the two different looks.
