I used two skeins of Hometown USA in Minneapolis Purple with size 15 needles.
Co 16, long tail method
Row 1: (k1, p1) across
Row 2: (k1, yo, sl 1 purl wise) across
Row 3: (k1 tog with yo from previous row, yo, sl 1 purl wise) across
Repeat row three until you are almost out of yarn, then cast off
To cast off: (k1 tog with yo from previous row, p1) across
Bo in k1, p1
Fasten off, seam ends together, and weave in any remaining tails.
