Materials Needed

  • King Cole Subtle Drifter Chunky (69% Premium Acrylic, 25% Cotton, 6% Wool; 100g; 164 yds / 150 m; Chunky / #5 weight) – 3 skeins in color “Leaf” or 492 yds / 450 m in any other #5 / Chunky weight yarn 
  • US Size 10 / 6 mm knitting needles
  • Lockable stitch marker or scrap piece of yarn (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle
  • Measuring tape

Note:

As you begin working this stitch pattern, it’s recommended that you use either a lockable stitch marker or a scrap piece of yarn to mark the right side of your work until you are able to see the pattern forming on the right side – this will help you to keep track of your rows.


Directions for the Tiled Infinity Scarf

Using long tail cast on method, cast on 44

Row 1 (RS): K1, sl wyif, k1, *p2, k4; rep* to last 5 sts, p2, k1, sl wyif, k1

Row 2 (WS): Sl wyif, k1, sl wyif, *k2, p4; rep* to last 5 sts, k2, sl wyif, k1, sl wyif

Rows 3 – 6: Rep rows 1-2 twice more

Row 7: As row 1

Row 8: Sl wyif, k1, sl wyif, k to last 3 sts, sl wyif, k1, sl wyif

Rep rows 1 – 8 until piece measures 62” or to desired length

Rep rows 1 – 7 once more

Bind off knit-wise leaving a 36” tail

If you are going to block your scarf, I recommend blocking prior to sewing your short ends together

Holding the right sides together, sew the short ends together to create your infinity scarf
