LOOM: All-n-One Loom, all 106 pegs needed.
YARN: Approx. 300 yds of bulky weight yarn. Sample was created with 2 skeins of Lion Brand Mandala Watercolors (75% acrylic, 15% wool, 10% nylon, 3.5 oz/100 g) in Almond.
STITCHES: E-wrap knit stitch, Purl stitch, Slip (skip) stitch, and Make 1 stitch
NOTIONS: Knitting tool, tapestry needle, scissors
GAUGE: 4 sts + 2 rows=1 inch
SIZE: 19” deep, 51” wide, blocked
Notes: This easy shawl looks like you knit it on the diagonal, but it is simple to create with 4 easy stitches.
Abbreviations
k = e-wrap knit stitch p = purl stitch
s = “slip” or skip the designated peg
m1 = ”make 1.” Make 1 is created by e-wrapping the peg twice and slipping the bottom stitch over the top stitch, forming an extra loop which becomes a slipped (or skipped) stitch.
INSTRUCTIONS
Set up All-n-One Loom with 5 peg sliders.
Cast on Stitches. Create a slip knot with a 10” tail and place it on peg 1. Moving from left to right, e-wrap peg 2 and 3.
Work back (Right-to Left) e-wrap peg 3 again and “slip” the stitch, p1, sl.
You now have 3 loops on the loom.
Odd rows are worked Left-to-Right, and even rows are worked Right-to Left.
Row 1: s1, k2, m1 (increased by 1 stitch)
Row 2: s1, p2, s1
Repeat Row1 – Row 2: increasing with a slipped stitch on each row, until you have 106 sts on the knitting loom
Bind off stitches.
