Knitted Chunky Wrist Warmers

Materials:
- Pair of 6mm knitting needles.
- 50g of super chunky yarn in 2 colours.
The chunky yarn that we used for the wrist warmers shown in the photo was Paintbox Yarns Simply Chunky. You can use any chunky yarn you like, however.
Instructions:
MAKE TWO
With 6mm needles and yarn 1, cast on 25 stitches.
Work the following 4 row lace rib pattern a total of 4 times.
- *p1, k3; rep from * to last stitch, p1
- K1, *p1, yo, p2tog, k1; rep from * to end
- As row 1
- K
Cut yarn and add in yarn 2.
Starting with a k row, work 16 rows of stocking stitch.
Cut yarn and add in yarn 3.
Work the 4 rows of the lace rib pattern once. As you work row 4 (k), cast off.
Cast off in k.
Sew up side seam, leaving hole for thumb if wanted.
Make 2 hand warmers, ensuring that thumb holes are positioned correctly for both left and right hand.
Tip: Sew up bottom and top most parts of seams and then sew up the rest with the mitten on your hand. You can then see exactly where thumb holes need to be.
To finish
Sew in all loose ends.
