Yarn: Loops & Threads Soft Classics in Off White, Ivy, and Bright red
Needles: size US 7 straight
Gauge: not necessary for this project
Also needed: XS Pom Pom Maker (1 3/8 inches)
Size: finished hats measure approximately 3 1/2 inches tall (including the pom pom)

Pattern instructions:
With Color 2 and smaller needles, cast on 21 sts. Break Color 2.
1st row: (RS). With Color 1, K1. *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row.
2nd row: P1. *K1. P1. Rep from * to end of row.

Repeat these 2 rows of (K1. P1) ribbing once more.

Proceed in stocking st for 8 rows, ending on a purl row.

***Next row: *K2. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 16 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: (K2tog) 8 times. 8 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: (K2tog) 4 times. 4 sts. Break yarn and thread through remaining sts. Fasten off.
Sew seam. Fold cuff up.

For the stripe hats:
Make the 4 rows of ribbing in one color. Switch yarn colors every 2 rows during stockinette stitch to make strips.
