Making up
Pull up yarn to close gap at top of snowman's head, then, with right sides together, stitch seam using back stitch. Turn right sides out and stuff through hole in base, then thread yarn through stitches on cast-on edge and pull up to close hole. Thread a length of yarn through stitches around neck and pull up and fasten off. Roll up nose to form a carrot shape, stitching securely, and attach to head.
Make small pompoms and stitch to each end of scarf.
Sew on small black pompons for eyes and buttons.

To make a hat, cut a 5cm diameter felt circle then cut a 3cm diameter circle from its centre; cut a strip 10cm x 1.7cm. Stitch short ends of strip together to make a ring, then stitch brim and crown in place. Stitch the hat to the snowman's head and tie hand band in place.
If you add a loop of ribbon to the top of the snowman’s hat, it could be hung from the branches of a Christmas tree.
