With its soft yarn and careful hand-knitted details, it's not just an accessory, but a feeling of comfort and style wrapped around your neck. Donning this knitted moss stitch scarf, you're ready to embrace the season with a touch of warmth and charm.

This is a very easy reversible scarf that can be knitted on large needles (8mm) for a loose, soft effect or on smaller needles (4mm) for a firmer finish more like a woven item. The choice of yarn and size of needles combination is endless.

Cast on an odd number of stitches to suit the finished width that you want.

This is the basic repeat pattern for each row of the scarf.

*Knit 1, Purl 1, Knit 1* repeat to end of row

Continue until scarf is required length and cast off loosely with larger size needles.

Basic scarf: 8 ply DK wool; 6mm needles; cast on 31 stitches

Tip: To keep a straight edge to the scarf and a neat finish, slip one stitch at the start of each row.
