This pattern is knitted with DK wool and 4mm needles
The Tent Walls: Cast on 33 sts in red
Row 1 – purl – in red
Row 2 – purl – (1 red, 1 white), repeat to last stitch,1 red
Row 3 – knit – (1 red, 1 white), repeat to last stitch,1 red
Rows 4-9 – stocking stitch, continue knitting stripes in the 2 colours

The Roof: with the 33 sts
Row 1 – knit
Row 2 – purl
Row 3 – (k1, k2tog) repeat to last stitch, k1. (22sts)
Row 4 & following alternate rows – purl
Row 5 – (k1, k2tog) repeat to last stitch, k1. (15sts)
Row 7 – knit
Row 9 – (k1, k2tog) repeat to last stitch. (10sts)
Row 11 – (k1, k2tog) repeat to last stitch, k1. (7sts)

B&T Leave a tail of 8″ for the flag pole.
Making Up:Sew up the back seam. Flag pole – Wind the 8″ tail 4-5 times tightly around the top of the roof starting at the point & going down 1/4″ Sew end in firmly. Stitch a flag to the pole-felt or other.
