MATERIALS

• 5mm needles
• DK yarn

THE PATTERN

• Cast on 84 stitches
• Row 1 – knit
• Row 2 – purl
• Rows 1 and 2 form pattern. Repeat until work measures 22cm from cast on edge.
• Start decrease
• k2tog until end (42 stitches)
• Purl
• k2tog until end (21 stiches)
• Purl
• k1, k2tog until end (11 stitches)

Thread yarn through remaining 11 stitches and close the top of the hat. Close side seam using mattress stitch.
