Cast on 5sts

Row 1: Kfb in first 4sts, k1 (9sts)

Row 2: Purl

Row 3: (K1, kfb) 4 times, k1 (13sts)

Row 4: Purl

Row 5: (K2, kfb) 4 times, k1 (17sts)

Row 6: Purl

Row 7: (K3, kfb) 4 times, k1 (21sts)

Row 8: Purl

Row 9: Knit

Row 10: Purl

Repeat the last 2 rows twice more

Row 15: (K3, k2tog) 4 times, k1 (17sts)

Row 16: Purl

Row 17: (K2, k2tog) 4 times, k1 (13sts)

Row 18: Purl

Row 19: (K1, k2tog) 4 times, k1 (9sts)

Row 20: Purl

Row 21: (K2tog) 4 times, k1 (5sts)

Cut yarn, leaving a ‘tail’ to use or joining
